Apple could officially release an iPhone later this year that will feature blue, orange, and other color options as standard.

The new colorful iPhones are expected to be a less expensive model than the ones with the facial recognition and edge-to-edge screen features. As the TF International Securities analyst at Apple, Ming-Chi Kuo told 9to5Mac, the updated iPhones will represent new ‘facelifts’ of the actual iPhone 8 and iPhone X models.

A Supersized iPhone X – And New Shades Of Gold, White And Silver

As many people expect, there could be a supersized version of the iPhone X – as well as a less expensive, colorful iPhone that will include an edge-to-edge LCD screen and facial recognition. The supersized iPhone X will come in a new gold color, according to a note shared in the report.

Previously, we saw Apple releasing a lower-cost iPhone model – the iPhone 5c in 2014 – which came in a variety of colors but was not a strong seller as Apple hoped. Meanwhile, Kuo’s notes were taken seriously in the society – mostly because of his earlier predictions (which came out true).

Official Confirmation From Apple Expected Prior To The Launch (In September 2018)

The new and bold color choices are expected to be much more unique than their predecessors. The shades will come as extended versions of staple red, grey and white variants.

Even though the news is speculative at the moment, everyone expects an official word from Apple on the new iPhones in the coming months – with the expected launch at the annual event which is scheduled for September 2018.

All in all, the new iPhone color palette seems interesting for many – and potentially tailored to the needs and preferences of different target groups.
